St. Peter House, or “Haus St. Petrus,” 1923-27, was built by Bremen architects Eduard Scotland & Alfred Runge as a house of gastronomy. It accommodated a lecture hall (the Golden Hall, or “Goldener Saal”), an elaborate wine restaurant located behind a Gothic gable (“Weinrestaurant St. Petrus”), and restaurant “Flett.” In 1944 the house was partially destroyed, then rebuilt in 1954.

Today, there is a restaurant on the ground floor, “Ständige Vertretung im Flett,” and a wine bar, Weinkontor St. Petrus, among the house's gastronomic offerings. On the upper floor, and in operation since 1981, is the Casino Bremen.
