The picturesque and winding Böttcherstrasse in the heart of the Hanseatic City of Bremen in north Germany is famous all over the world for the decorative brick architecture of its houses. The Böttcherstrasse Art Collections are both the architectural and the cultural highlight of this unique street.

The art collections reside in the Museum in the Roselius House, modelled on a historic Bremer patrician residence of the 16th-century, with works from the Middle Ages to the Baroque, and in the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum, a significant 20th century expressionist building by Bernhard Hoetger, with major paintings by the early modern artist Paula Modersohn-Becker.
