The Museum in the Roselius-House forms the center and core of the Böttcherstrasse. It houses the personal collections of coffee merchant Ludwig Roselius. On display are cultural artifacts and artworks from the Middle Ages to the Barock period.

Among the most valuable exhibits are medieval altar panels, works by Ludger tom
Ring
and Lucas Cranach, as well as a poignant mourning group by Tilman Riemenschneider (c. 1515). Since 1987 the historic silver treasure of the Company of the Black Chieftains from Riga (“Compagnie der Schwarzen Häupter aus Riga”)
has been on permanent loan to Roselius House.
